Welcome to the official blog of the UMASS Amherst Philosophy and Open Thought (P.O.T.) Club.  This blog will be used to share opinion pieces by Philosophy Club members as well as previews of upcoming meeting topics (marked by the dates of their respective meetings, e.g. "9/7/2012 Theses on the Philosophy of History").  Opinion pieces and previews alike are to be sent to an admin for approval, and will be rejected if found to be in violation of Blogger's Content Policy.  The views expressed by individual authors in this blog do not represent the views or attitudes of UMASS Amherst, or even the Club for that matter, but rather the opinions of various individuals who happen to be involved in it.  Be sure to check out our pages on Facebook and Campus Pulse as well!
